Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Jasmine B. I am a licensed therapist, breathwork facilitator and wellness consultant with over 10 years of youth development, program design and mindbody wellness expertise. My practice is rooted in curating authentic healing spaces for adolescent girls and women to connect more intentionally with themselves and community, release and restore the impact of generational trauma, and support their creation of opportunities for self-expansion and joy! While my work center’s the experiences of Black women, I enjoy providing integrative wellness opportunities to all youth-serving spaces and professionals alike.

As an expert in my field, I believe true holistic healing happens through community care and connection to indigenous healing practices that simply reminds us of the inner wisdom that exists within our bodies. We are all the experts of our own lives and experiences, and are best positioned to speak to our holistic wellness needs. I simply serve as a co-creator and guide on your respective holistic healing journeys.

The Why + The How

The name Zola Indlu (Zoe-Luh In-Loo) was derived from the Zulu language. Zola is defined as peace, quietness and tranquility, and Indlu means dwelling place or home. The words were combined to represent a dwelling place of peace, quietness of the mind, a tranquil place where one is free to fully be. These words, while not normally paired together, capture the spirit of our work.

Black girls specifically, along with Indigenous and People of color exist within the margins, and have mastered navigating systemic challenges while managing to create beauty from the ashes. While that speaks to our aptitude towards resilience, it’s time to expand the narrative beyond sole glorification of our strength while we navigate violent systems, and create intentional space that honors our need for stillness, healing and joy. In order for this cultural shift to take place, intentionally engaging girls from adolescents in this unlearning is crucial. To accomplish this, girls need access to a safe space where they are free to dream, create, and operate out of the highest versions of themselves.

Zola Indlu supports the creation of this space through four intentional ways:
